I dropped by Chéo Coffee right at rush hour and I could see why it’s packed even though it just opened: big space, cute “autumn” decor, and photo spots everywhere. From the gate you already see a bright red scene☺️lanterns and a playful rabbit theme that kids love.

The outdoor garden is the star. The ground is white pebbles with neat walkways, so it feels clean and airy. The red theme really pops on the pebbles, so photos look great. There are lots of cute corners: a wooden bench under the lanterns, bamboo posts with paper butterflies, a rabbit backdrop with maple leaves. Almost any corner can be a photo spot. It clearly targets families and young people who like taking pictures. In the afternoon you’ll see moms in red dresses posing with their kids by the dragon head, and friend groups waiting for a turn under the lanterns.

Inside, the space isn’t as huge as the garden but it’s about the size of a normal café. The layout feels open and the tables aren’t too close. The AC is strong—a big plus on hot days, especially when people are lining up outside to take photos. The floor and counter are kept pretty clean; even when it’s busy, staff keep wiping and clearing, so used cups don’t sit there for long.
The drink menu has a bit over 40 items—mostly familiar things: fruit teas, basic coffees, oolong teas, smoothies, fresh juices. It’s not a fancy “fusion” style with weird toppings—just easy to order, easy to drink. Prices are 40,000–45,000 VND per drink, a little higher than nearby places. But with the setup, decor, and a lot of staff, I think it’s fair if you want a pretty place to sit and take photos. They also have snacks like fries, gimbap, and mini pizza. I didn’t order snacks because it was super busy—if I had, I’d probably have to wait.
When I went, the line was long, but the counter moved pretty well because there were many staff. They use numbers and pick‑up at the counter, so orders don’t get lost. I ordered a soursop tea and an oolong lotus tea with cheese foam.
Oolong lotus tea with cheese foam: This one really hit the spot. The oolong base is light and clear, not covered by sugar. The lotus seeds are soft and a bit buttery with a gentle sweetness. The cheese foam is a little salty but rich and tasty. Stir lightly and the first sip balances everything: a light tea bite, the creamy salty foam, and the nutty lotus. Clean aftertaste. If you like more cream, ask for extra foam; for me, this level is just right.
Soursop tea: This one doesn’t stand out yet. The soursop flavor is fine, not too artificial, but the serving isn’t convenient: the straw is small so you can only drink the liquid; the fruit bits don’t go up. The ice cubes are big (not small nugget ice), so the straw gets blocked and the drink waters down fast. With thick, pulpy fruit like soursop, I hope they switch to a bigger straw or give a spoon, and offer small/crushed ice. For now I’d call it “okay, but not something I’d come back for.”
What I like at Chéo is the cleanliness and the quick response from the staff.
Who should visit Chéo Coffee?
Families with kids: rabbit–butterfly–lantern theme, many cute photo spots, airy garden. Just keep an eye on kids running on the pebbles.
People who need a cool, clean seat: strong indoor AC, fine for light work 1–2 hours (avoid weekend peak hours if you need quiet).
Suggestions to improve (from my visit)
Straws & utensils: For thick fruit drinks like soursop, use a bigger straw or add a small spoon.
Ice size: Consider small/nugget ice for fruit drinks so it doesn’t dilute fast and won’t clog the straw.
