Last time I wrote a review about Kohee cafe – the drink menu was diverse. But that time I didn’t get to experience the dining area on the second floor. Yesterday – on April 30th holiday, it was raining and I had a day off, so I decided to invite my friend to come eat here.
🗓 About the occasion
April 30th is the biggest holiday in Vietnam’s history – Reunification Day, marking the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. Everyone has a day off, including students and workers, so I took the chance to go out. It was raining slightly, cool weather, very chill – perfect for dining in a restaurant.
🍴 Dishes we ordered
🍕 Seafood Pizza – 7 USD
Includes squid, shrimp, and crab.
Squid is cut into big round slices, shrimp is peeled but kept whole, the crab stick is also big, not chopped small like other places.
Topped with some green broccoli flowers.
I chose thin crust but asked for extra toppings – the pizza was full of toppings and lots of cheese.
Very impressed because the seafood was kept whole, not cut small – looks good and tastes rich.
🍙 Eel sushi roll – 3 USD
Inside: eel and cucumber.
Wrapped in dried seaweed, with sticky rice outside, topped with sesame.
One plate has about 8 pieces arranged neatly.
Tasty, easy to eat, good for both adults and children.
🥩 Beef steak – 7 USD
This was the most impressive dish of the meal.
The staff asked if I wanted it well-done or rare – since I had children with me, I chose well-done.
There are 3 types of sauce to choose from. I chose mushroom cream sauce to avoid spiciness – and it was a good choice.
The beef was super tender, fresh, and sweet – not tough or dry.
The sauce was creamy and rich, matched perfectly with the beef.
Served with some broccoli and sweet corn – just enough, not too much.
🧋 Drinks
🧋 Oolong milk tea with black pearls – 1.5 USD
Strong oolong tea taste, very clear.
Less milk, more tea flavor – good for those who like tea more than milk.
The black pearls were soft and chewy, not hard or dry.
🍋 Yellow lemon tea – 1 USD
Comes with fresh lemon slices.
The taste was not very special, a bit bland compared to other dishes – but okay to drink while eating.
🍽 Space & service ☕️ Experience at the 1st floor – Tea & cafe shop
The 1st floor is a space that mainly serves milk tea, coffee, and fruit tea.
The space is open and spacious, suitable for groups of friends to gather and chat. Tables and chairs are arranged comfortably, can sit for a long time.
☕️ Experience at the 2nd floor
The menu is quite diverse, prices are reasonable.
2nd floor of La Kohee Kicchin serves European-style food
The second floor is quiet, cool, clean, wooden tables and chairs, some with soft leather seats, very comfortable.
Staff were polite, asked clearly about my preferences (pizza crust, steak doneness, sauce type…), service was fast and professional.
📋 Other menu items:
Besides the dishes I ordered, the restaurant also has:
Sashimi (raw salmon)
Various sushi such as:
Crab sushi
Shrimp sushi
California-style sushi
Grilled salmon
Pumpkin salad, vegetable salad with passion fruit sauce
Other pizzas: beef, chicken, mushroom, sausage
Pasta with minced beef sauce, mushroom sauce
French fries
💰 Average price per dish is 7–8 USD.
📝 Summary:
The price is a bit high compared to average, but the food is good quality, nicely presented, fresh ingredients, good service.
Quiet and spacious place, good for weekends or holidays like April 30th.
Will come back to try other steak dishes – very worth it!
