Previously, in my articles, I have reviewed black tea, Thai tea or Oolong tea, but I have only recently had the opportunity to try San Tuyet tea. I have seen this type of tea appear a lot on the menu of tea shops, but it was not until today that I had the opportunity to try it and I had to write my feelings about this tea for you.
This time, I returned to Dan Di street - a place that snack lovers will definitely not miss because this place has all kinds of shops, especially milk tea shops, snacks are extremely diverse and attractive. I went to Tiger Tea again - a milk tea shop I have drank many times before. The teas here always stand out with their rich flavor, there are not too many drinks but each one has its own uniqueness.
I decided to try San Salty Cream Tea and I have to say that it was quite an interesting experience. San Tuyet tea is grown in the highlands, where the climate is fresh, the tea has large, gray-white tea buds and especially under the tea leaves there is a layer of fine fluff, so this tea is called "San Tuyet tea".
When brewing the tea, the tea water has a shimmering golden color, transparent like honey, which makes me unable to help but be impressed. The scent of the tea is very mild, not too strong but enough to create a relaxing and pleasant feeling. The taste of the tea when enjoyed is sweet and cool, combined with a slight aroma of flowers and a slight salty taste of the salty cream. The combination of tea and salty cream is surprisingly delicious, even though I asked for 70% less sugar, the tea is still quite sweet.
Although the tea has a slightly astringent taste, when combined with the rich salty cream, it creates a wonderful blend, when drinking, stir well to dissolve the salty cream. I also ordered Oolong pearls, and unlike the usual chewy pearls, the pearls here are crispy and made from jelly, green in color and although not as fragrant as chewy pearls, they are still delicious and unique.
A cup of San Tuyet Kem Man tea costs 35,000 VND, a reasonable price and very suitable for the space of the shop. Tiger Tea has a spacious first floor with a large mixing counter for those who want to take their tea away, while the second floor has a comfortable space with more than a dozen tables. The feeling on the second floor is extremely comfortable, there are even pillows for you to rest, very suitable for those who want to work or relax. I really like this space because I can sit comfortably against the wall to work, without being disturbed and without having to worry about the attitude of the staff or the shop owner.
The second floor of the shop is covered with glass doors so there is no need to turn on the lights, natural light always shines in, creating a very comfortable space. Although the space is not too large, it is very airy and comfortable, especially in the summer when the shop turns on the cool air conditioner. I still remember 6-7 years ago, when I was a high school student, whenever I wanted to study or simply find a quiet space to rest, I often came here to study and even take a nap at the shop. Really, with a price of only 35,000 VND for a cup of tea, this is an ideal place to enjoy tea and relax without having to worry about the price.
Another big plus is that the shop has a clean restroom, very convenient for those who come to work or rest for a long time. I see many students also choose Tiger Tea as a place to study and rest, just like I did before.
For drinks, I would give it 8 points, and for space and service, 10 points! Even though there are many milk tea shops that have a more luxurious appearance and may be cheaper, I still like Tiger Tea because this place makes me feel comfortable.
