Happy Thursday!
I spent a good time...like, let's see, before 9 AM to 4.16 PM, at the ER. Yep. I am loving it, back and forth to ER, there's always something, like the FUDGE 😅
I mentioned on a few postings, how I pulled my back in the beginning of March, right. Well it's not getting better, it's worsen, in fact. I planned to see my family doctor next Monday, as that's when she's available, but I couldn't stand it. Hurt like mofo. So I went to ER. As my case isn't "emergency", for sure I had to wait for forever. And yep. Back is bad. Now I'm gonna need physiotherapy. Nobody is available for physiotherapy but end of April, so am prescribed for a stronger painkiller. JOY 😅
Don't get old, people! 🤣
Back to recipe sharing. A dish with stinky beans 😁
500 g beef liver
4-5 large potatoes
1 bag of stinky beans/sator (petai/pete)
1 small onion
5 garlic
4 bird eye chilies
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp water
1 lemongrass
4 kafir lime leaves
4 salam leaves (Indonesian bay leaf)
Chicken bouillon powder to taste
1-2 tbsp dark brown sugar
MSG if usinf
Oil for frying
100-200 ml water
Boil beef liver, covered in enough water, for 5-8 mins, drain. Slice into bite size
Peel and cube potatoes, soak in water
My stinky beans were frozen, so soak that in water
Heat enough cooking oil, drain potatoes, and fry until golden brown. Then using the same oil, fry beef liver, then fry the stinky beans as well
In a food processor, turn garlic, onion, chilies into fine paste with 2 tbsp of water
Saute paste with the rest of the spices until fragrant then add in fried potatoes, liver and stinky beans, stir to coat
Pour water, stir, season, stir, cook til bubbly
Ready to be served!
