On a previous night we ended up at The Griller’s Hub near Marquee Mall Pampanga, nothing planned really just one of those let’s eat somewhere close kind of decisions. After attending the mass we searched for a food place nearby. The Griller's Hub was busy but not stressful, there were chalk drawings all over the walls and what looks like an industrial kind of interior design. There is that smell of grilled food that gave me good memories with family back in the days when we do barbeque on a Sunday.

We ordered a platter, that is good for sharing. I chose this because I want to take our time do it like slowly nibbling and have longer conversations. Meat, rice on the side, gravy waiting, mashed potato and I do not think I saw any option with vegetables on the menu. Maybe there was a salad there that I did not notice

A bowl of hot soup with garlic bread but what stayed with me was the water bottle. They reused an old wine bottle to serve drinking water. At first I noticed it because it was different, then I realized I liked it. No waste, no pretending, just practical. It felt honest

We ate, talked about small things, laughed without trying too hard. Time passed quietly. Nothing big happened and maybe that’s why it felt nice. Just food, company, and a night that didn’t rush us out.
