Cada día me asombro mucho de la cantidad de frutas que existe y de sus diversos y atrayentes sabores. Hoy les dejo una publicación en la que les describo el increíble sabor del mamey que por cierto es la primera vez que lo veo y lo degusto. Espero que sea de su agrado mi publicación 😉

Every day, I am amazed by the variety of fruits that exist and their diverse and appealing flavors. Today, I leave you with a post in which I describe the incredible flavor of mamey, which, incidentally, is the first time I have seen and tasted it. I hope you enjoy my post 😉
Siempre había escuchado que existía una fruta llamada mamey pero ni sabía cómo era y menos a qué sabía. Me encanta todo lo nuevo en cuanto a lugares, frutas y plantas, así que se podrán imaginar mi alegría al conocer está fruta tan nombrada entre mi familia pero completamente desconocida para mí. Definitivamente la vida es maravillosa, sobre todo, cuando siempre estamos atentos a cada detalle fabuloso que la naturaleza nos brinda.
Hace unos días visitamos a unos amigos y ellos nos llevaron a casa de unos familiares, los acompañamos y resulta que en la casa de los familiares de mis amigos habían unas matas de mamey 🥰 es un árbol grande, yo no sabía que era un árbol frutal hasta que mi esposo me dijo que era un árbol de mamey. No me sorprendió porque no veía ningún fruto, lo que pasa es que yo no veo muy bien pero mi esposo tiene vista de águila y se percató de que habían varios frutos, no eran muchos pero sí había. Mi esposo le pidió permiso a los dueños de la casa y le permitieron tomar del fruto. Me alegré cuando los toqué porque era la primera vez que veía este fruto como les mencioné anteriormente.
Nos los llevamos a casa pero no tenía ni idea de cómo se le quitaba la cáscara y muchísimas menos del sabor. Mi esposo comenzó a quitarle la cáscara y se percató de que tiene una capa que hay que quitársela para poder disfrutar del delicioso fruto.
I had always heard that there was a fruit called mamey, but I didn't know what it looked like, let alone what it tasted like. I love everything new when it comes to places, fruits, and plants, so you can imagine my joy at discovering this fruit that was so well known among my family but completely unknown to me. Life is definitely wonderful, especially when we are always attentive to every fabulous detail that nature offers us.
A few days ago, we visited some friends and they took us to their relatives' house. We went with them and it turns out that my friends' relatives had some mamey trees 🥰. It's a large tree, and I didn't know it was a fruit tree until my husband told me it was a mamey tree. I wasn't surprised because I couldn't see any fruit. The thing is, I don't see very well, but my husband has eagle eyes and noticed that there were several fruits. There weren't many, but there were some. My husband asked the owners of the house for permission, and they allowed him to take the fruit. I was happy when I touched them because it was the first time I had seen this fruit, as I mentioned earlier.
We took them home, but I had no idea how to peel them, much less what they tasted like. My husband started peeling them and realized that they have a layer that has to be removed in order to enjoy the delicious fruit.

Después de quitarle la capa que la cubre al sacarle la cáscara, el mamey queda como un mango y es más fácil de cortarlo en pequeños pedacitos. Ya se acercaba el momento de degustar por primera vez está fruta 🥰

Amigos, esta fruta sabe exquisita, es como un cóctel porque tiene diferentes sabores. Principalmente sabe a durazno con piña pero en la medida que lo vas saboreando llega un sabor a mango dulce. Literalmente fue un bálsamo para mí paladar porque es una explosión de sabores cítricos pero con mucho dulzor.
Fue muy placentero probar está deliciosa fruta y documentar cada instante para compartirlo con ustedes. Por cierto, ese mismo día nos comimos los dos frutos y los familiares de nuestros amigos nos dijeron que volviéramos cuando quisiéramos, queremos volver para compartir con ellos y para comer nuevamente mamey.
Friends, this fruit tastes exquisite, it's like a cocktail because it has different flavors. It mainly tastes like peach with pineapple, but as you savor it, a sweet mango flavor comes through. It was literally a balm for my palate because it's an explosion of citrus flavors but with a lot of sweetness.
It was very pleasant to taste this delicious fruit and document every moment to share it with you. By the way, we ate both fruits that same day, and our friends' relatives told us to come back whenever we wanted. We want to return to share with them and to eat mamey again.
