Hello there, Blockchain Foodies!

If there's a nice thing about having friends in other cities, it's trying their recommendations of food. While in Caracas, @madefrance and @maryed took me to one of her go-to spots for eating. The place is called Zaituna Café. It has the kind of aesthetic vibes you would expected from a Café located in a posh zone of the Capital.

We had some iced black tea and the girls had a panini while I ordered a burger. The monster of a burger came with fries and ketchup. Between the brioche buns, there was a crispy chicken breast, slices of bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, a special aioli. All these things were held together with a stick in the middle so the burger didn't fall to pieces. Why is it that burgers get taller instead of wider? The latter would make more sense to have more things inside the burger.

Anyways, the looks weren't just for show. The burger was tasty. The mix of flavors was on point. The bacon was crispy. The chicken was well seasoned. The vegetables cut throw the flavors with their freshness. The aioli was zesty and savory somehow similar to a tartar sauce but not quite.

In the end, the burger started to show the flaws of its construction and it was falling apart, but that is part of the experience. The fries were crispy and had the right amount of salt. Pairing these flavors with the iced tea was nice. However, we couldn't have the girls' favorite one which is something with ginger and lemon.

It was a nice meal. For 13$ is ought to be, I get we pay for the location and also how clean the place is. I gotta add their restrooms are pristine. So that also plays in their favor. Towards the end of the meal, I had to tell the waiter to hang on while I took my photo of the empty plate (that's a sort of tradition whenever I take this photos of food). And we were on our way.

Also, while we ate, we were listening to a really shallow conversation happening in the next table. We weren't trying to eavesdrop or anything, but Venezuelans are bad gossipers. Not because we lack the ability to tell saucy gossip. It is because we can't keep our tone low enough to keep the gossip a secret.

A meal with friends, nice food and gossip. What else needs to be said?

Ni idea. Las dietas no sirven.

Z isn't a popular letter these days...

Don't know about that

At the other end of the world there is a war, with 100,000s dead.
Z is the symbol of the Russian army in Ukraine.
