My partner and I have built a good friendship with other couples in our neighborhood, and we have been having some pretty good bonding moments together. Most of the time, we plan to have a night of drinking with good food on the table. And we did it again on a Sunday afternoon.
We talked about cooking food, and each couple needs to bring something. My partner and I suggested Filipino-style chicken curry because he likes cooking it. Also, I am confident that he can cook it deliciously.
After cooking, we went to the meeting place, which is at one of our friends’ houses. We got there early and just helped organize the table. We waited for the couples to come over one by one before we started eating and drinking.
For the foods, we have Beef Broccoli, Chicken Buffalo Wings, and Chicken Curry. These foods are perfect for dinner, and that’s what we had in mind when talking about what to bring. The chicken already has the sauce in the middle, and I already have it as my target for today.
We also have other foods such as Dynamite (like Lumpia, but wrapped in green chili) and Pancit Guisado. Both are perfect for our afternoon snack before we start drinking. Once everyone was already gathered, we ate first and shared a few stories.
After eating, my partner went to buy our drinks. We will be having Alfonso Light for today, as we only look forward to a chill drinking session. We just took about half an hour of just talking and laughing together before we decided to start drinking. Also, we did not forget to taketo take a group photo, since moments like this happen only once in a while. We enjoyed the night together, and we planned another day like this soon, maybe at the beach or on a picnic by a river.
The bonding continued until 1:00 in the morning, and we all got drunk. It was another night of memories, laughter, and shared stories that will definitely happen again.
