Tasting street food: a chicken and beef pepito [ENG/ESP]

This Sunday afternoon I was busy with some classes and when I got home my daughter asked me to go out to eat something fast in the streets and we went to a nearby place where they sell all kinds of fast food.
The truth is that I'm not a big fan of eating in the street because of the danger it represents, but we sat down at a table and my daughter and I ordered a snack and my wife ordered a hamburger.
We had to wait a while because the stall was quite crowded but it was worth the wait because the food was quite good.
The pepito is a food from the state of Lara and consists of a medium sized open bun filled with chopped chicken and beef, natural fries, yellow cheese, bacon and all kinds of sauces to go with it.
The portion was a good size and is enough for a person with enough hunger. I liked the seasoning of the meat and the crunchiness of the potatoes, plus the yellow cheese and bacon give that special flavor to the pepito.
Sometimes you feel like eating something different and these well prepared pepitos are an excellent alternative for their taste and price. Each pepito costs only 3 dollars, which is why the stand is always crowded with people who know the quality and excellent price of the food at this place.
I was satisfied with the pepito and my daughter had to ask for the rest of her pepito to go because she was already satisfied.
It was a time of relaxation and family sharing that we enjoyed savoring the street food, a different but very pleasant experience.

Este día domingo en la tarde estuve ocupado con unas clases y cuando llegué a casa me hija me pidió que saliéramos a comer algo rápido en la calles y fuimos a un sitio cercano donde venden todo tipo de comida rápida.
La verdad es que no soy muy amigo de comer en plena calle por el peligro que representa, pero nos acomodamos en una mesa y mi hija y yo pedimos un pepito y mi esposa una hamburguesa.
Tuvimos que esperan un buen rato porque el puesto estaba bastante concurrido pero valió la pena la espera porque la comida estaba bastante buena.
El pepito es una comida originaria del estado Lara y consiste el un pan mediano abierto y relleno de pollo y carne de res picados, papas fritas naturales, queso amarillo, tocineta y todo tipo de salsas para acompañar.
La ración tenía buen tamaño y es suficiente para una persona con bastante hambre. Me gustó el sazón de la carne y lo crujiente de las papas, además el queso amarillo y la tocineta le dan ese sabor especial al pepito.
A veces dan ganas de comer algo diferente y de verdad que estos pepitos bien resueltos son una excelente alternativa por su sabor y su precio. Cada pepito tiene un costo de solo 3 dólares, por eso el puesto siempre se encuentra abarrotado de personas conocedoras de la calidad y excelente precio de la comida de ese lugar.
Yo quedé satisfecho con el pepito y mi hija tuvo que pedir que le pusieran el resto de su pepito para llevar porque ya estaba satisfecha.
Fue un rato de esparcimiento y compartir en familia que disfrutamos saboreando la comida callejera, una experiencia diferente pero muy placentera.
