Hola querida comunidad, en el día de ayer tuve la maravillosa oportunidad de conocer por primera vez el Restaurante Salón 1720, me había sentido un poco triste en navidad, ya que en casa por motivos políticos nunca se permitió la navidad, por lo tanto, aún después de haber superado esa etapa no se celebra navidad, me sentía con deseos de tener un poquito de esa alegría navideña, y se me dio la oportunidad de ayer celebrarla con mis compañeros del hospital en este estupendo restaurante gourmet.

Ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, cerca del parque Calixto García, en una antigua casa colonial, cuyo nombre se escogió por el año en que se comenzó a instaurar nuestra ciudad de Holguín, perteneció al prestigioso doctor Francisco Pérez Zorrilla, nacido en España, y radicado en Cuba, conocido por brindar servicios gratis a los pobres, en el patio central de la casa se puede observar la estatua en honor a una paciente que curó (María Caridad del Carmen) quién en agradecimiento se quedó a trabajar con él hasta que falleció.

El mismo cuenta con varios espacios, contando con una cava con varios vinos nacionales e internacionales. El salón VIP, donde se conserva uno de los platos utilizado por el papa Francisco en su visita del 2015. Otros dos salones interiores climatizados, nombrados el Rojo por la pasión y el amor y el Blanco por la familia y la amistad.

Cuenta con otro salón exterior para fumadores y en el patio se puede degustar varios cócteles y cafés preparados por el bar, nombrado el Jigüe.

Este restaurante le ofrece a sus clientes varios platos de las cocinas cubana e internacional, ellos mismos se clasifican como comida gourmet. Pudimos disfrutar primeramente de un surtido variado de entrante, todo estaba exquisito, lo que más me gustó fueron las croquetas, con un sabor inigualable. Luego degustamos un caldo de pollo, delicioso, y a continuación nos trajeron un exquisito filete mignon con salsa de cebolla que debo de confesar que a pesar de que no me sentía a gusto del todo, ya que estaba a término medio y no suelo comer carne así, acompañado de arroz amarillo, ensalada y boniato frito, todo excelente. De postre gelatina de piña, que estaba muy rica.

Luego nos sentamos en el patio para seguir tomando cerveza, jugo de tomate y café, pero sobre todo continuando con las conversiones tan amenas, divertidas, creo que hacía mucho que no reía tanto, compartir por navidad con mis compañeros de trabajo resultó en algo muy satisfactorio, y amé cada minuto que pasé con ellos.

Hello dear community, yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to know for the first time the Restaurant Salón 1720, I had felt a little sad at Christmas, since at home for political reasons Christmas was never allowed, therefore, even after having overcome that stage Christmas is not celebrated, I felt like having a little bit of that Christmas joy, and I was given the opportunity yesterday to celebrate it with my colleagues from the hospital in this wonderful gourmet restaurant.

Located in the center of the city, near the Calixto Garcia park, in an old colonial house, whose name was chosen for the year in which our city of Holguin began to be established, it belonged to the prestigious doctor Francisco Perez Zorrilla, born in Spain, and based in Cuba, known for providing free services to the poor, in the central courtyard of the house you can see the statue in honor of a patient he cured (Maria Caridad del Carmen) who in gratitude stayed to work with him until she died.

We were able to enjoy first a varied assortment of starters, everything was exquisite, what I liked most were the croquettes, with an incomparable flavor. Then we tasted a chicken broth, delicious, and then they brought us an exquisite filet mignon with onion sauce that I must confess that although I did not feel at ease at all, since it was medium rare and I do not usually eat meat like that, accompanied by yellow rice, salad and fried sweet potato, all excellent. For dessert we had pineapple jelly, which was very tasty.

Then we sat on the patio to continue drinking beer, tomato juice and coffee, but above all continuing with the conversations so enjoyable, fun, I think it had been a long time since I laughed so much, sharing Christmas with my co-workers was very satisfying, and I loved every minute I spent with them.
