Happy Monday, my dear Hivers! Last weekend, my parents went to the night market and bought our household a surplus of fruits for 1 to 2 week consumption. Our purchase varies from different season. We tend to buy fruits that are in season for a cheaper price. I notice one fruit, though, that's always in our pantry- bananas. Some of my siblings love to eat banana as a pre-work out meal since it's easy on the stomach and gives a lot of energy.
My mom loves to eat papaya as it's good for the heart and digestion. Good thing papayas in the market are at a surplus so we bought some in discounted price.
Calamansi and avocado are for my dad. He's trying this health hack of drinking freshly squeezed calamansi with no added water first thing in the morning.
Avocados are for his hair growth and glowing skin. He generally like avocados. This fruit was not at a bargain but he still bought some, anyway.
Jackfruit is our family's dessert. This huge fruit always makes us sit together in the dining table and eat together. The only cons of having this fruit is our refrigerator situation. It's so huge that it consumes 1 whole section of our fridge. Sometimes, if it really doesn't fit, we cut this in chunks and place small pieces in scatter.
Lastly, our all time favorite fruit, Mangoes. It's still summer season here in the Philippines, which means it's still harvest season for this tropical fruit. My siblings and I love to make mango float or mango ice candy everytime we have this fruit. Other times, we just eat the fruit by itself.
These fruits might last us for a good 1-2 weeks.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
