Delirio de Chocolate
El que me conoce sabe que me encanta el chocolate, el asunto es que es una especie de droga porque en realidad no puedo consumirlo mucho, pero las veces que lo hago, no se los voy a negar ¡soy completamente feliz!
Esta semana pasada fui a visitar a mi primo en su lugar de trabajo, él trabaja para el Ministerio de Turismo de aquí de mi isla y en esa locación siempre tienen exposiciones de distintos productos de exportación, justamente porque como trabajan con turismo les interesa que se den a conocer los diversos diferentes productos que tenemos en Venezuela.
Además, mi isla es uno de los pocos estados del país que tiene un aeropuerto internacional, por lo que muchos vuelos llegan aquí haciendo escala para trasladarse a otras zonas de Venezuela, todo esto ayuda a que los extranjeros puedan ver estas demostraciones en el aeropuerto o zonas como estas, donde aprovechan de exponer los distintos productos que ofrece el país para exportar.
Those who know me know that I love chocolate, the thing is that it is a kind of drug because I can not really consume it much, but the times that I do, I will not deny it, I am completely happy!
This past week I went to visit my cousin at his place of work, he works for the Ministry of Tourism here in my island and in that location they always have exhibitions of different export products, precisely because as they work with tourism they are interested in making known the different products that we have in Venezuela.
In addition, my island is one of the few states in the country that has an international airport, so many flights arrive here making a stopover to move to other areas of Venezuela, all this helps foreigners to see these demonstrations at the airport or areas like these, where they take the opportunity to expose the various products offered by the country for export.
Venezuela siempre ha sido reconocida en el mundo por el chocolate, yo la verdad, como no he probado tantos de otros lugares, no puedo decir que sea el mejor, pero gran parte del mundo así lo reseña, de hecho, pueden ver en las fotografías como colocaron los premios que les concedieron el año pasado a este por ser uno de los mejores chocolates del mundo, así que asumo que es verdad, sí tenemos uno de los mejores chocolates del mundo.
En esta ocasión estaban exponiendo un chocolate llamado "Delirio" el cual tienen en varias presentaciones con distintos porcentajes de pureza y con diversos ingredientes como leche, ají, ron, naranja, maracuyá y frutos rojos.
Me gustó mucho que en la exposición muestran a las mujeres que trabajan con el fruto de cacao extraído directamente de la planta en sus distintos colores para saber el grado de madurez, como son seleccionadas las semillas para el proceso de secado y, además, como usan la "Cascara" que recubre la semilla para crear incluso un té.
Venezuela has always been recognized in the world for its chocolate, the truth is, as I have not tasted so many from other places, I can not say it is the best, but much of the world reviews it, in fact, you can see in the pictures how they placed the awards that were granted last year to this for being one of the best chocolates in the world, so I assume it is true, we do have one of the best chocolates in the world.
On this occasion they were exhibiting a chocolate called "Delirio" which they have in various presentations with different percentages of purity and with various ingredients such as milk, chili, rum, orange, passion fruit and red fruits.
I really liked that in the exhibition they show the women who work with the cocoa fruit extracted directly from the plant in its different colors to know the degree of maturity, how the seeds are selected for the drying process and also how they use the "Cascara" that covers the seed to create even a tea.
Como ven, todo se aprovecha de este fruto, además la exposición se ve muy natural con todo de madera, palma y mimbre. Los envoltorios de los tipos de chocolates tienen diseños muy minimalistas, lo cual me agradó bastante porque termina viéndose todo muy artesanal con toda la combinación de colores.
Lo más curioso de todo esto es que este chocolate se vende principalmente para exportación, porque realmente los venezolanos poco consumimos este tipo de productos, ya que son costosos para el poder adquisitivo de nosotros.
Así que, como otras muchas microempresas en el país, subsisten es vendiendo estos productos de calidad para los extranjeros que vienen al país que si tienen el poder adquisitivo, o prefieren exportarlos a otros lugares del mundo, pero la realidad es que nosotros poco los vemos en los locales donde comúnmente compramos chocolates.
As you can see, everything is made from this fruit, and the exhibition looks very natural with everything made of wood, palm and wicker. The wrappers of the different types of chocolates have very minimalist designs, which pleased me a lot because everything ends up looking very handmade with all the combination of colors.
The most curious thing about all this is that this chocolate is sold mainly for export, because Venezuelans do not really consume this type of products, as they are expensive for our purchasing power.
So, like many other micro-enterprises in the country, they subsist by selling these quality products to foreigners who come to the country and have the purchasing power, or prefer to export them to other parts of the world, but the reality is that we rarely see them in the stores where we commonly buy chocolates.
Últimamente en los supermercados veo muchos chocolates de la marca "Milka" que son chocolates Suizos, a mí en lo personal me encanta su sabor e, increíblemente, aun viniendo de tan lejos como los turcos que también se consiguen muchísimo, los precios son más accesibles que los que podemos conseguir producidos aquí mismo en el país ¿bastante extraño no? pero, sí, así es esta economía bastante bizarra que tenemos en Venezuela, es la forma como ha conseguido el venezolano para sobrevivir.
De todas formas ellos, los comerciantes, no tienen la culpa de que crear productos en Venezuela sea más costoso que traerlos desde Suiza o Turquía, así que no dejaré de recomendar el chocolate "Delirio" porque lo probé y como su nombre lo indica es un "Delirio" en el paladar, así que si lo ven por ahí cómprenlo, recuerden que no solo están comprando un producto Venezolano, sino que están apoyando a un comerciante que intenta reinventarse en una de las economías más bizarras del mundo.
