Hi everyone, today I'd like to show you a wonderful place I found in northern Valencia, Venezuela. It's called Mordiscos, and it's a restaurant with an interesting concept because it's surrounded by nature. If you choose to eat on the terrace, you'll be accompanied by the sound of the fountain, birdsong, and even roosters that roam the area. However, I opted to have lunch inside because it was hot and I needed the air conditioning.
Hola, hoy me gustaría mostrarles un maravilloso lugar que encontré en el norte de Valencia en Venezuela, se llama Mordiscos, es un restaurante con un concepto interesante pues está en medio de la naturaleza. Si decides comer en la terraza estarás acompañado por el sonido de la fuente, el canto de las aves y hasta de gallos que andan merodeando la zona. Sin embargo yo opté por almorzar adentro porque tenía calor y necesitaba el aire acondicionado.
It's quite large and has many tables. The service was good; the waiters didn't make you wait too long. One came to my table right away to give me the menu. The truth is, the menu isn't very varied—there aren't too many options, and they aren't particularly elaborate, perhaps due to its minimalist concept—but the ones they do have are very good, and the prices are quite reasonable, which I definitely appreciate.
Es bastante grande y cuenta con muchas mesas, el servicio fue bueno, los meseros no te hacen esperar demasiado, enseguida llegó uno a mi mesa para entregarme el menú. La verdad es que este Menú no es muy variado, es decir, no hay demasiadas opciones y tampoco son tan fastuosas, quizá por su concepto minimalista, pero las que hay son muy buenas y además los precios son bastante accesibles y desde luego eso me gusta, me parece muy bien.
I was craving something delicious and different, so I went to the sandwich section and chose a choripán. I say it's different because, although it might seem strange, I'd never tried one before. Besides the chorizo, of course, it also had a delicious chimichurri sauce, and you could choose from different extra sauces. I chose tartar sauce to go with my choripán. I loved the combination of flavors and the softness of the bread. The meat was also delicious, cooked to perfection, so I give it a 10/10.
Yo tenía ganas de algo rico y diferente, así que me fui a la sección de sándwichs y elegí uno de choripán, digo que es diferente porque aunque les parezca extraño yo jamás lo había probado antes, Esta además del chorizo obviamente, también tenía una deliciosa salsa de chimichurrí, y aparte podías elegir entre diferentes opciones de salsa extra, yo elegí salsa tártara para acompañar mi choripán. Me gustó la combinación de sabores y la suavidad del pan, la proteína también estaba deliciosa, cocinada en su punto, así que les doy un 10/10.
For a drink, I ordered an Oreo milkshake that was quite thick and creamy, very tasty, not too sweet, but just right, and something I really appreciated is that it actually tasted like Oreo cookies. I say this because it has happened to me in other restaurants that they use similar cookies instead of Oreos and the milkshake or dessert ends up tasting very different.
De bebida ordené una merengada de oreo que estaba bastante espesa y cremosa, muy sabrosa, no estaba demasiado dulce, sino en su punto perfecto, y algo que aprecié muchísimo es que realmente sabía a galletas oreo, lo digo porque me ha pasado en otros restaurantes que en su defecto usan galletas similares en lugar de las oreo y la merengada o el postre terminan sabiendo muy diferentes.
And to wrap things up, I then ordered from the dessert menu. I was craving something light and small because my stomach was already full, so I ordered an alfajor (it's a treat I hadn't tried before either). Although I had an idea of what the texture would be like, I enjoyed it immensely. The cornstarch dough melted slowly in my mouth, the dulce de leche immediately flooded my palate (I'm not easily overwhelmed by sweetness, so I savored it), and they even added shredded coconut around it. Wow! It was the perfect combination.
Y ya para concluir, posteriormente pedí el menú de postres, se me antojaba algo ligero y pequeño porque mi estomago ya estaba satisfecho, así que ordené que me trajeran un alfajor (es una delicia que yo tampoco había probado anteriormente) aunque ya yo intuía cmo sería la textura, la disfruté muchísimo, la masa de fécula de maiz desahiendose lentamente en mi boca, el dulce de leche inundó mi paladar enseguida (no soy facil de empalagar así que lo disfruté) y también le pusieron coco rallado alrededor. ¡Wow! Fue la combinacción perfecta.
In conclusion, I can say that I loved the place. It had a great atmosphere, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, the bathrooms were luxurious, and I would definitely like to return.
Como conclusión puedo decir que me encantó el lugar, tenía un buen ambiente, la comida estaba deliciosa, tuvimos una buena atención, los baños eran de lujo, la comida estuvo deliciosa y definitivamente me gustaría regresar allí.
