Hello my Hive friends, I hope you're all doing well and have started this new month with lots of energy, positive vibes, and a desire to keep going. I especially love November because my birthday is coming up soon, haha. So, yesterday I started practicing and made the cake I want for my birthday. I'd never made it before, but I had tasted it and had been wanting to try making it for a while. I'm talking about an impossible cake, or choco flan. This cake gets its name because it's like two desserts in one. You have to prepare a flan-like mixture and a cake batter, then put them in the same pan. The result should be a wonderful cake and flan together, haha. Even though it seemed a bit difficult, I tried it and I think I did it, haha. I'll share the step-by-step instructions with you.
Choco Flan, or Impossible Cake, Recipe.

Ingredients for the Cake:
- For the chocolate cake.

100 g all-purpose flour
2 eggs
100 g sugar
60 g butter
25 g cocoa powder
65 ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
Ingredients for flan

2 Eggs
200g sweetened condensed milk
150ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the caramel: 70g sugar and 1 tbsp butter
Note: This recipe is for a small cake. For a larger cake, double the ingredient amounts.
Preparation:
- First, we prepare the caramel. In the cake pan, melt the butter and then add the sugar until it melts and reaches the desired brown color. Once the caramel is ready, remove it from the heat and set it aside. When it's cool, put it in the refrigerator while you prepare the cake batter.

2- Next, we prepare the chocolate cake batter. We start by separating the egg whites from the yolks. In a bowl, we beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, meaning they have a firm consistency. We then set them aside in the refrigerator.

- In another bowl, add the butter and sugar and beat until creamy. Then, add the egg yolks, sifted flour and baking powder, cocoa powder, vanilla, and milk. Continue beating until everything is well combined and fully incorporated.

- Next, gradually add the egg whites to the cake batter, folding them in gently until fully incorporated. Set aside.

- To make the flan, add the eggs, milk, condensed milk, and vanilla to a mixer. Beat for 2 minutes, and the mixture will be ready.

6- Finally, add the chocolate cake batter to the caramel-lined mold, then add the flan mixture, cover with aluminum foil, and bake in a water bath. This means placing boiling water in a larger pan and then placing the mold with the batter inside. The baking time is approximately 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7- Once the time is up, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely. Then, refrigerate it for approximately 3 hours. Unmold the cake; you can warm the mold slightly before unmolding to melt the caramel a little. Now you can enjoy this delicious treat—two desserts in one! It's truly exquisite.

Now, I'll say goodbye, my friends. I hope you enjoyed this delicious recipe. Let me know in the comments if you've tried it and what you think. See you next time, blessings.
