I admit I'm not a huge Ikea fan; I usually get bored going there, but now that we're looking for furniture, we had to go, and it's not even close. Anyway, I tried their Swedish restaurant for the first time and was thrilled. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you'll find a comfortable atmosphere with warm lighting, colors, simple tables, plenty of seating, and a simple, relaxing atmosphere. The menus are posted on the walls, and there's plenty to choose from: a wide selection of Swedish meatballs with or without meat, and simple sides like mashed potatoes, green beans, jams, sauces, potatoes, and a kind of rösti. Then there are various salmon and cod dishes, beef dishes, and even many raw fish dishes, cheeses, and Swedish cold cuts. There's plenty of choice, especially for fish lovers. But you don't get served like in a normal restaurant; here you have a special trolley where you place your trays, a sort of self-service. You take your cutlery and with the trolley you pass in front of various display cases from which you can choose what you want.

Reconozco que no soy muy fan de Ikea; normalmente me aburro yendo allí, pero ahora que buscamos muebles, teníamos que ir, y no está ni de lejos. En fin, probé su restaurante sueco por primera vez y quedé encantada. Nada más entrar, encontrarás un ambiente acogedor con una iluminación cálida, colores, mesas sencillas, muchos asientos y un ambiente sencillo y relajante. Los menús están colgados en las paredes y hay mucho para elegir: una amplia selección de albóndigas suecas con o sin carne, y guarniciones sencillas como puré de patatas, judías verdes, mermeladas, salsas, patatas y una especie de rösti. También hay varios platos de salmón y bacalao, platos de ternera e incluso muchos platos de pescado crudo, quesos y embutidos suecos. Hay muchísima variedad, sobre todo para los amantes del pescado. Pero no te atienden como en un restaurante normal; aquí tienes un carrito especial donde colocas tus bandejas, una especie de autoservicio. Coges tus cubiertos y con el carrito pasas frente a varias vitrinas donde puedes elegir lo que quieras.

In a modern way, we place the trolleys on a photocell that tells you exactly what you've ordered and how much it costs. You pay at a nearby register in cash or card, a really fast and efficient way, very Swedish! I ordered a salmon fillet, which I assure you was delicious, fresh, and delicious. The mashed potatoes were also good, along with green beans seasoned with pepper and a dill and lemon sauce that was very good and which I absolutely must learn to make. To drink, a beer, bread, and a sauce. I only spent 11 euros and had an excellent lunch, simple and delicious. This place is perfect for a quick, easy, and inexpensive meal. Plus, for just a euro more, you can get ice cream! I was really happy with the Swedish restaurant; I think it was my favorite part of my trip to IKEA!

El puré de patatas también estaba bueno, junto con judías verdes aderezadas con pimienta y una salsa de eneldo y limón que estaba buenísima y que tengo que aprender a hacer. Para beber, una cerveza, pan y una salsa. Solo gasté 11 euros y tuve un almuerzo excelente, sencillo y delicioso. Este lugar es perfecto para una comida rápida, fácil y económica.
