Classic Chicken Noodles

in Hive Food7 days ago

Hi bloggers and food lovers, as a noodle lover, today I’m going to share my experience eating my favorite chicken noodles—the kind where the broth is served on the side. This dish is one of the most famous chicken noodles in our city: Sinar Utama Mie Ayam, a spot that serves the kind of comfort food I love.

They offer several chicken noodle and chicken porridge dishes. I went there last Sunday, it was still early in the morning, but it was already quite crowded, and we had to wait in line. After a while, my friends and I got a table, and we immediately ordered three servings of Classic Chicken Noodles, Fried Dumplings with Mayo, and Pandan Cakwe.

Classic Chicken Noodles

The Classic Chicken Noodles feature a choice of two noodle types: thick or curly topped with sweet stewed chicken chunks, vegetables, soy sauce-marinated egg, wonton crackers, and chicken broth that you can adjust to your liking. This Classic Chicken Noodles is the signature dish of this restaurant. It has a savory flavor with a hint of sweetness and the comforting warmth of the broth.

They also provide condiments to complement the dish, including chili sauce, pickled chili, and crispy crackers on the table. You can customize the level of spiciness to your liking.

Fried Dumplings with Mayo

As the name suggests, this side dish consists of fried dumplings filled with tender chicken pieces, topped with mayonnaise and served with a sweet-and-sour sauce that pairs perfectly with the dish. The combination of a crunchy texture and the sweet, sour, and savory flavors creates a delicious, umami-rich taste when enjoyed together.

Pandan Cakwe/Chinese Cruller

This dessert also features a crunchy texture and the sweetness of cakwe, accompanied by a sweet and slightly creamy pandan sauce. However, this cakwe is a bit oilier, so it fills you up quickly when you eat it.

Okay, that’s all for today’s food hunting. Thank you
