I made grilled chicken steak for my husband since he just got off work at 7 pm. As for The kids had already eaten their dinner earlier at 6 pm.
I had marinated the chicken and kept it in the fridge since morning. When my husband told me he wanted grilled chicken steak for dinner, I chose chicken breast because I thought it was the best cut for steak—much better than the thigh, which I’ve tried before but found too fatty.
Grilled Chicken Steak

Grilled Chicken Steak Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 chicken steak (breast or thigh)
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp paprika
- Dried herbs (e.g., oregano, thyme, or rosemary)
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken:
- Place chicken in a mixing bowl. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and rosemary. Rub evenly over the chicken.
Grill the Chicken:
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter.
- Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked (adjust time based on thickness).
- I also grilled some sliced mushrooms with butter.
Serve:
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with fresh vegetables or sides of your choice.
