Our neighbor on the other side of the small stream beside our house has a lot of tall Coconut Trees. Their plot is like a little forest which is without house but is rich with different kind of plants and tree. And there are times that the coconut will just fall from the tree, maybe because of the strong wind too. And it's not like the people there can really see what's happening in their coconut tree. So when some coconut fall and no one pick it up, Mama will then pick it and yeah, put it into good use (^._.^)ノ

That's what happened the other day, Mama told me how she was able to pick up two coconut that fall in the small stream from up there. She can hear it if it falls coz they're too big not to create a sound. And coz the water is not that high, she can just easily go down to pick it up.

Look how big it is, but you'll be surprise of how small the fruit inside of it, lol. Still, Mama we're able to squeezed out a lot of coconut milk in it so, it's fantastic. And we're happy for the free coconut, haha. Coconut is really not cheap you know.

And here's the other one, it's still green but i'm sure we can already get lot's of coconut milk in it. This one is not peeled yet though. Mama's saving it for something.

And Mama decided to peel one coconut, she's planning to make vegetable dish for lunch. And it actually amazed me how fast Mama can peel this. I can peel a coconut too, but it will take more minutes for me to finish it, lol. I'm slow when it come to this but I can vouch for how fast I can grate a coconut manually ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ.

And here it is, it might be small but look how thick the coconut meat inside. Now, Mama just need to grate it, I know I flex how good I am at manually grating it but I don't really feel like doing at that time so I let Mama do it. Haha

Mama we'll be making Squash in Coconut Milk. I actually requesting too to put eggplant or ampalaya but no one will go to the market. While she harvested squash in her garden and ahe think that's already enough. Well, I think so too, but seriously, Ginataang Kalabasa with Eggplant or Ampalaya is the best!

Anyways, here's Mama's Ginataang Kalabasa with Dried Fish. I didn't know she out some in it. It also has fresh Malunggay. It taste good although the smell and taste of the dried fish is too overpowering but I think that actually makes this dish good.

Mama finish cooking and so I stayed outside, I saw Uno's sad face so I tried to cheer him up. Like look how dad his expression it. Anyone who see will think that Uno doesn't get much love from his hoomans. But he's already receiving a lot. Lol

Ans I didn't think this will actually work, haha. I just did it for fun and look how he's enjoying it. Lol. He is too cute. I also tried to look up on google if coconut is allowed for dog and it says it us okay, but not too much. So yeah, I let him enjoy a bit piece of it although it is just a leftover. Ehe

Ginataang kalabasa… kailan lang nacracrave ako niyan HAHAH. I guess this is a sign na magluto ako bukas for lunch

Haha, go for it na. Make sure to pair it with anything fried, mas the best and experience. Uwu

It's a simple dish, but it's actually good. My parents always have squash planted in our farm, so if we could have a coconut, sometimes we cook this.

Coconut is really not cheap you know.

SO TRUEEE! In the market, you can rarely buy a piece for 20 pesos anymore, it's surely a blessing if you could have that for free. 🤗

Righty? Righty? UwU. Its cool talaga uf may sarili tayong tanim 💃✨

Ang mahal na diba di pa kasana kayod at piga jan, may bayad din yon. Pero if kaya kami nalang kakayod at pipiga, haha
