Hello Hive Food communities, it’s been a while since I posted a blog here and now, I’m back with a new recipe to share with you guys.
These past few days, I’ve been cooking some sweet snacks for my family. I bought some glutinous rice flour; out from it you can really make a lot of sweet snacks that was really delicious.
Today I will show you on my blog how to make this sweet and easy recipe Filipino Mochi or what we call “Carioca” in our local that you will surely love.
You only need two ingredients to prepare for this snack recipe. Glutinous rice flour and brown sugar.
First is to put the glutinous rice flour in a bowl, I use about 250 grams of it then ½ cup of brown sugar, mix it then gradually add water until the texture becomes clay like.
Now get about 2 table spoons of the glutinous rice flour and sugar mixture then form it into flat circles.
Heat oil in a pan, then put the “carioca”, pour some brown sugar enough to cover each side of the carioca. When the color becomes light brown, set aside.
In the same pan with a little oil in it, add about 3 tbsp. of brown sugar then when until it melts then add the carioca that was set aside. Cooking it in a low setting of fire. Then cook it until it coats all the carioca with sugar.
Let it cool, then we have it my very own Filipino Mochis or Carioca. A sweet snack for your family.
This snack would also be a perfect match for your coffee 😊.
That’s all my dear Hivers of this community. Till’ next blog. Have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
@saijan19
