My college/uni roommate got back to Malaysia for a visit after migrated to Melbourne. This is her year end holiday so she asked for a meet up with me and another housemate who used tot stay together.
We were staying together in a humble unit when we were 18 years old. This year, 3 of us turn 38 so it is really 20 years ago since we first knew each other. We were young and ambitious, very carefree. Now we are mothers!!!!
When the roommate got back, she told me she wanted to meet up with us. Hahhaah they always so happen meet me when I am pregnant. The last was 5 years ago when I was pregnant with my second child.
After much discussion, we decided we would meet at Snitch by the Thieves at the Gardens Mall as both of them stay at the other side of the city so we picked a middle spot.
The place was okay, but perhaps a little warm because they have a glass window area for an outside seating.
3 of us have 2 children currently but all our firstborn have no interest of tagging along anymore so they brought their second child while I brought my third in me, hahaha. The last we met was with all our firstborn boys. Time has chnaged after 5 years when the boys have already not wanting to follow us everywhere.
Anyway, we ordered some food for sharing and to appease the young children as well.
A Strawberry Waffle
Two of us suddenly craved for waffles so we tried to order one that is more child-friendly. It was topped with a vanila ice-cream. Our friend's daughter enjoyed it so so much!

The name caught all of our attention! It is actually a smoked duck pizza that was quite delicious. Thin crust and I enjoyed it very much. The children didn't want it so we adults happily enjoyed ourselves.
Regular fries
It is not easy for young children to sit still with us to accompany us as we conversed. So we ordered a regular fries which saved the day!
I got them some crayons for the children to entertain themselves too while another friend brought stickers. We were saying that we are now like "Doraemon" who must have something to entertain them in our "pockets"/ bags.
I saw them keep picking up toys or stationeries for their children and sometimes kept so busy by their children, which I know will exactly be how I am of I brought mine out as well. Am so glad that we are in the same phase together. We used to share talks on fsshion and clothes and never ending college stories but now everything is centered around our children. What a change!
Well in some ways, I am so proud of where we have arrived at too!
I adore their children a lot and so glad they were willing to warm up to know their mothers' friends too! Just look at this adorable faces!
While waiting for the elevator which was taking so so long, we took photos and the children warmed up to each other and happily imitating each other. They were soooooo cute!
The roommate got me something that caught me by surprise. It is this snowball cookies that she got from our hometown knowing I will miss our hometown CNY delicacy. Am so touched by her gesture. Also, they gave me some baby clothes to celebrate the upcoming arrival of my baby girl! AWWWWWW....
Our group photos! 😍 It was a joy and pleasure meeting them though it is really once in many years. We caught up immediately at where we left off. We were young when we met 20 years ago, now we have aged and I dare to say we have aged well!
