Hello, my dear Hivers!

This blog is the continuation of my previous post, where I’ll be sharing what happened after our cutting session as part of the preparations for the opening of classes.

My sister and I were among the first to go home since we still had a few errands to run around 5 p.m. We had to pick up the food we ordered online, something I’d been craving for days , so I was really looking forward to it!

But before heading to the store to get our order, we passed by a small buchi (buchi stall) , one of my all-time favorites! So of course, we decided to stop by. At first, my sister said she wasn’t hungry and would just keep me company. But after dipping her buchi into the vinegar with chopped onions, she instantly changed her mind! She said the sour and tangy vinegar made the food even more appetizing , and I totally agreed.

We each ordered two sets of buchi and a puso (hanging rice) to go with it , just a light dinner before picking up our seafood order.

After our meal , we went to the place where our seafood was waiting for us. We had scallops with cheese and a kilo of steamed scallops, they were already made and still warm when we got there, perfect timing!

Later on, me and my sister stood by for a tricycle to take us to the bus stop since it was starting to get dark. When we arrived at bus stop and was able to found a seat. During the ride , we had a glance at the sunset.

My sister , even though she wasn’t seated by the window, took out her phone to snap a few photos. She told me , “Just by looking at the sunset, it feels like everything slows down , it makes you feel calm and grateful.” And honestly , I felt the same. There’s something about sunsets that makes you pause, appreciate the moment, and breathe a little deeper. Taking pictures of it feels like capturing peace in a frame , a reminder that endings can be beautiful too.

When we finally arrived home, we enjoyed our seafood feast and chatted about our day , just simple “sister chikas” that made the evening even better.

After dinner, we went back to sorting and cutting the confetti we had prepared earlier. We even asked our brother to help us since there was still quite a pile left to fix. It turned into a mini bonding moment , we laughed, teased each other, and somehow turned a tiring task into something fun.

And that’s all for today’s blog, my dear Hivers! Thank you so much for reading and joining me again in this little story of everyday moments , simple, colorful, and full of meaning. Until next time!
