On Sunday afternoon, my mother and I went to the church. It is the San Vicente Ferrer Church, located in Bogo City, Cebu. As the elders say, this saint is said to be miraculous. When we arrived, the priest was holding a mass for a funeral, so we didn’t go inside the church. Instead, we went to the place where the saints are located.
The last time I visited, it was under renovation, so they had taken the San Vicente Ferrer statue away for a while. Now that the renovation is done, they finally put the statue back in its place. My mother and I had a sincere prayer.
I prayed to God that he will always give us strong and healthy bodies, keep us away from harm, and also to help me qualify for college enrollment. I also prayed to God for courage, strength, wisdom, guidance, and empathy to overcome challenges.
I know that in all the trials in life, God is the only one I can rely on and ask for advice. Even though I was unfortunate not to pass my scholarship, I am still thankful that He gave me the courage and wisdom to try, even when I doubted myself. I know that God has a great plan for me, so I don’t lose hope. I always wish that my family, relatives, and friends are safe and sound.
Since it was still early, my mother took me to different places. First, we went to the Plaza Park of Bogo.
When we got there, we saw many children playing on the playground. We also noticed that they had renovated the park, making it even more interesting and engaging for kids to play.
We wandered around to see the beautiful views, especially the fountain and the amazing train. Then, we went to the DIY store where you can buy things you want at low prices.
Since it was my mother’s first time there, I took her out and let her explore and enjoy. The products there are of good quality, and you will never regret buying them. A few minutes later, my mother picked a mop and decided to buy it.
Since we didn’t bring much money, we decided to buy other items next time. After that, we went to the Pantalan.
Since I had never been there, my mother wanted me to see what it looks like. She wanted me to experience being there. When I arrived, I saw a long road that I initially thought was endless. It was actually a path made for people to walk around.
It was such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. People there said it was more beautiful at night, which is why many people go there for dinner, especially couples.
We stopped by a nearby store to buy an egg sandwich. The food there is affordable and delicious.
After that, we decided to go to the market where a variety of seafood is displayed. My mother bought some food to last for a couple of days, such as chicken hotdogs, lumpia, fish, and the ingredients for them. After that, my mother went to the bakery shop to buy some bread, and then we went home.
