yeah I do, Do you mean one that requires one to start working just before sunrise and aim to finish just before sunset? leave home with the type of lunch that would not go off in the African sun like nuts, water and proper solid food?

Also, having to walk a distance to the farm and probably not have a network connection so if people want you they have to come to you even in case of emergency. That is a snapshot of my experience with farm work. If I tell you all of it how to even dig sweet potatoes with my bare hands (in your case maybe yum) you will fine it hard to believe. I will stop here.. lol

Well fair enough, we hardly use cutlass for FARMING in SA, we commonly use Hoe for weeding and planting crops mainly maize, nuts, sweet potatoes, etc.

A cutlass is used to cut tree branches or collect wood on this side. Otherwise, we normally run away with no question whenever we see it in the hands of any angry or madman. Yes, you read it correctly, "man not woman" 😅

I understand fully.
Over here too, women don't mainly use cutlass in their farm duties, it's majorly hoe for planting.
Men are known for cutlass to tear down the forest.
