I remember the old food pyramid where they basically told us that in order to be healthy we needed to have 5 plates of spaghetti a day with a loaf of bread and by gawd you better not eat any meat!
My question for you is this: I have heard there was some sort of lobbing in the grain industry at the time that this pyramid was put into schools. Any truth to that or did I go down a rabbit hole so deep that I got lost?
