Greetings, dear Hivers. I hope you are all doing well. I know that the community is all about bread and its derivatives, which are desserts for any occasion, but I would like to share my usual snack, which is a nutritious mixture of flour and bananas.

Ingredients

  • Two bananas.
  • A quarter of cheese.
  • A quarter of panela.
  • 10 grams of aniseed.
  • A quarter of yellow bread flour.
  • Oil.

This is a special recipe for our little ones' afternoon snacks. We start by peeling the two bananas and boiling them. Once they are soft, we mash them with a fork. Once both are mashed, we find a clean, dry container and add approximately a quarter of the yellow bread flour. Then, using a grater, we obtain small particles of grated cheese. At the same time, we dissolve the brown sugar in a 10-minute boil. We add these ingredients to the mixture, not forgetting the special touch of 10 grams of aniseed, to obtain a homogeneous mixture. The secret is in the kneading.

Once the mixture is smooth, place it on the work surface, which should also be clean and dry, to compact it further.

I like to use a little of the dough and rub it on the work surface so that it does not stick when handling it. Then, with the help of a knife, I cut the mixture into eight equal pieces by eye to make strips, from each of which I will obtain four mandocas. The size and thickness can vary according to personal taste and preference. Mine are about the size of my index finger, approximately 6 cm, and once I have made the mandocas, using a clean, dry bowl, add the required amount of oil, which will depend on the thickness of the mandoca, as the bowl will simulate a deep fryer and the idea is for the mandoca to be submerged in oil so that it is crispy and appealing to the consumer. Recommended for enjoying with cheese, cream, or richness. it all depends on what we have in our pantry. It is an inexpensive snack that is easy to make at home, in half an hour at most. All you need is the desire to do it. I invite you to try this recipe.
