I do live in Indonesia but in fact I have never been to Bali. Indeed, Bali is very popular, especially in foreign countries, some people even know Bali better than Indonesia itself. Meanwhile, Indonesia consists of many islands and provinces.
From my home island to Bali, the price of plane tickets is very expensive. So even until now I have never been to Bali. Luckyly like this time I found a cafe that actually serves Balinese specialties.
Indeed, the cafe is not very characteristic like the design in the Bali area. The concept of the restaurant looks more minimalist modern. Even so, visitors can enjoy various kinds of Balinese specialties as well as other Indonesian food dishes.
Like this time, I was interested in ordering food that I had never ordered before. For dinner, Balinese rice looks tempting.
Balinese rice is served with various side dishes that are tempting and look complete in their components. Starting from vegetables in the form of vegetable salad served with grated coconut. Then there are various proteins starting from shredded chicken with spicy chili sauce with peanuts and eggs.
For steamed rice served with banana leaves. Adding to the aesthetic impression, also neat.
Then, the special thing is traditional Balinese satay. There are many types of meat used in this type of satay in this dish the satay uses chicken. The softened chicken meat is mixed with grated coconut and others then wrapped around the lemongrass stalks that's why this satay is called sate lilit.
Overall it tastes very good because it is still included in my comfort food but the taste of the various components of the food is spicy especially for the shredded chicken and peanuts.
After eating I didn't go home straight away but I enjoyed the atmosphere around the cafe which felt calm.
With the sound of trickling water from the small fountain in front of the Cafe. There are also various kinds of green ornamental plants that make this Cafe feel closer to nature as if it were in the atmosphere of Bali.
Accompanied by lychee tea that has character and also the fragrance of the Lychee itself.
Enjoying the night in a different area and finding different foods I am grateful to be able to taste the beautiful differences. See you at my next foodie blog!
