The water element is one of the reasons why it can be used as a tourist destination. Besides green scenery, people naturally also love blue scenery, with its water element. I, too, love that.

Well, after walking more than 12 km, my latest achievement, I finally arrived at the Cengklik Reservoir tourist area. I deliberately chose a new destination so I could be motivated to achieve new milestones in my walking. So, here I am.

Since I had just walked in the morning and hadn't had breakfast, I chose a cafe near Cengklik Reservoir that was already open. Indeed, this reservoir area is more popular for sunset viewing, so most cafes open in the afternoon, just before sunset.

I chose a cafe called Cengklik Coffee. This cafe is currently popular among young people, especially on the social media platform TikTok. It combines a semi-outdoor cafe with a strong reservoir vibe. It's similar to a beach vibe.
Well, according to a website I read, this reservoir is a Dutch heritage site, built in the 1920s. Indeed, its original function was simply to regulate water flow, especially during the rainy season to prevent flooding. It also served as irrigation for local farmers. But with the advancement of technology, this reservoir has evolved into a tourist destination.
Another important aspect is that the Cengklik Reservoir area is close to Solo Airport. Therefore, there are many cafes and other tourist attractions around this reservoir.

Cengklik Coffee has an attractive design. As I said before, it resembles a beach atmosphere. The combination of coconut trees creates a tropical feel. Various accessories add to the aesthetic.

It turns out that there were already many people at the cafe when I arrived. Some were also from the cycling community. Well, look, it's really hot here. So, I wanted an iced coffee. But I needed to fill my stomach with food first.

So, I ordered a chicken rice bowl. This dish features chicken served with a spicy lemongrass sauce. The spices are quite strong, making this rice bowl quite memorable. Perfect for replenishing my depleted energy after walking nearly 12 km.

Unfortunately, there were very few green vegetables! Oh, of course, fresh green vegetables are expensive, and it might be an extra price if we add more vegetables, hehe. But overall, it wasn't a big deal since this menu only costs $1.60.

After eating, I enjoyed my absolutely delicious iced coffee! The name of this iced coffee is Golden Sunset. The color is beautiful, isn't it? The combination of cold brew and sweet, refreshing orange juice. So beautiful.

Even though it wasn't sunset, the bright atmosphere of the reservoir looked beautiful. With a gentle breeze caressing my face, I had a moment of peace. Plus, my legs didn't feel sore or tired at all after achieving my walking milestone. So, it was the perfect way to celebrate my success! Yay!
