Hi there, dear ones!
I'd love to share with you our go-to food at every potluck for their school activities.
Children love this dessert, and it's the sweet that they can't really resist. It's brownies!
Nowadays, due to inflation, a brownie with the size of two matchboxes in the Philippines costs around 1 USD already.
My daughter loves brownies too, so she also requests this most of the time when there are special occasions.
So I look for ways to afford it without breaking the bank.
I also have limited baking machines, so I look for the ready-made brownies wherein I only use a fork to mix them.
And today is a special day for my daughter since she got an award for being on the honor roll for the first quarter. So I think it’s a simple treat for her.
Also, as a ritual in her school, parents would pledge food for a potluck.
I don't think of any food anymore since this is already affordable and very delicious for its cost.
Here are the ingredients:
2 medium-sized eggs
1/2 cup of cooking oil
1/4 cup of water
chocolate sprinkles (quantity depends on your preference)
1 box of ready-mix brownies (any brand, but I prefer White King)
1 Banana leaf (depending on the length of the pan)
Here are the easy steps:
1 Put the ready-made brownies in the bowl.
2 Add the eggs.
3 Pour the oil and water.
4 Mix the ingredients with a fork, but don't overmix.
5 Pour into the pan with a banana leaf since I ran out of parchment paper. This one is helpful.
6 Preheat the oven to 177 °C.
7 Bake for 25-30 minutes
8 Use a stick to check if it's already cooked. There shouldn't be any crumbs on the toothpick.
So here's the finish product. It's so chewy and fudgy. And most of all, I only spent roughly around 5 USD for the whole tray.
The brownies were gone too soon, since her classmates really liked them.
