This serves as my first experience for me working in a corporate world. Before I got to this, honestly, I despise working in such an environment because I don't like the 8-hour daily work routine. Moreover, I've heard lots of negative feedbacks for me to think a thousand times first before throwing myself into fire. When I have gathered all the courage I could get, I thought I'm going through the same kind of hell like those people whom I talked before. However, along the journey, I manage to socialize well and made friends with my teammates.
My life here at work has been often easier since I was placed on the team. I'm deeply grateful that I was well taken care of despite being a newbie and inexperienced on the job, and the environment. I've learned a lot of skillsets from them in which, either if I would still be inside or outside the company, it can always beneficial to me. That part is improving my communication skills which crucial in our line of work. You know me, I'm too introverted to socialize and talk lively in front people back then.
And right now, this moment is special, it's our Supervisor's birthday. Instead of us treating him, he was the one who treated us in a sumptuous meal instead on his special day. One of our teammates who lives nearby suggested the place as she has been a regular here.
This place is called Hunasan, a buffet restaurant located at the Marketplace beside the building of the New Government Center of Bacolod. It's the closest restaurant to our workplace and the earliest to open, too. A dine here starts at Php 299 per head, and for BPO workers, they offer discounts. Also, since it's breakfast, the price per head is lowered. They open from 7:00 in the morning until dinner.
Just like any other buffet restaurant, you're gonna have variety of options. On breakfast, they have sausages, eggs, fried rice, hotdogs, adobo, boiled okra, and fish stew. They also served fruits, desserts, fruit juice and coffee. The menu keeps piling every few minutes since going lunch time, too. People are coming, and they're having many customers after an hour onwards. However, we're the first customers who came, of course. We haven't slept yet, straight off from shift to here.
The best thing there is the food unlimited as long as you don't have leftovers on your plate. That's actually good because we should practice not to waste our food and just eat enough to fill our stomachs. And of course, we don't want to pay extra for that.
After the feast, we separated our ways being thankful for the food. And that, too, because we're too sleepy after getting full. We're wishing for bed after that meal.
That's all from another foodie story from me, folks! See you in my next stories. Thanks for reading!
