It was another exhausting day at school wherein it made me hungry after doing those activities. Supposedly, going straight home to rest is much better, but I don't have foods at home and thereby leads me stopped by at the mall. Sometimes, my cravings can go too far like wanting to have a Sundae late at night and I have to order at Grab or Food Panda looking for a 24/7 branch of fast food just to satisfy it when I couldn't take it to my sleep anymore. This time, as I made a step going inside the mall, I immediately wanted noodles, not the typical instant noodles that I usually cook at home, though. My eyes brought me here, at Ikkouryu.
It is a Japanese food chain here in Bacolod known for serving Ramen. My eyes were fixated on their chain, but I'm still hesitant and wanting to look for another option but my friend urged me to choose it instead, so we can go home, probably wanting to get it done.
The staff greets every customers who'll come in warmly with that Japanese phrase, いらっしゃいませ means Welcome. They were fast to accomodate their customers as they handed the menu and guided them to vacant tables. This is actually my first time eating Ramen, I don't really what to expect for the taste or how to critique it of how it should supposed to taste like. I was only craving for noodles!
We don't really know what to order but we want noodles, haha! So we went with their best seller, the Ajitama Tonkatsu Ramen.
I looked around as we waited, and I have those words on the wall which somehow says, wassyo wassyo!! I'm not sure since I have a hard time reading the last letters. I've tried to google it, but all I got was Wassup wassup. I'm curious to know what that means, so I'm summoning @wittyzell. Can you translate it for me po? Labyu, witty! 🤗
Here it comes after ages of waiting... I can't even took pictures properly as we occupied ourselves into the flavors. The broth is creamy with flavors new which is new to me, so I can't tell if it's bad or not, but I like it anyway. The toppings were two halves of eggs, fatty pork belly, nori seaweed, and spring onions.
Well, yes! My cravings were satisfied as I was so full thereafter. It's just my friend there complaining that the serving is not good enough, I guess he wanted more broth. The shop just don't have a other choices of beverages except for Pepsi products. If you're minimizing your intake of softdrinks, you better have water instead.
I'm satisfied but if you're wondering why I called this a misadventure, it might be because I pulled out a budget on a whim and my friend isn't satisfied. Nevertheless, food is life, let's eat whatever we crave for.
