RE: Enjoy village fried rice and spicy roadside noodle soup.

in Foodies Bee Hivelast year

Looks so tasty I want to fly down and eat it :) I had food ready for my dinner but feel I need to buy some fried fish to get some tasty morsels into me after seeing your photos :D

Speaking of roadside diners, in India too we love them. As long as they are clean to the extent possible (i.e. no cockroaches, constant wiping of tables and floor, etc.) I am ok to eat there. Typically I find the roadside stalls and hawkers can give very tasty food, and the food is fresh - thanks to the constant stream of customers they get. I always check what everyone is ordering and only order those as those items will not be stale in most cases. In India since most cooking requires spices as well as high heat I feel pretty comfortable wrt not getting bad food. Of course having eaten out all my life my stomack is used to the spices too :)

Thanks for great post, now I need to go and order some fried Rohu.

I often see snacks in India on the side of the road. the food there looks very delicious. I noticed that in India most people eat standing and there are no seats or tables provided. I saw everyone eating it with gusto, it looked very delicious Indian food. Thank you for commenting. have a nice day

Yes we have a lot of snacks which we can eat standing. Sometimes, we have smaller stalls with breakfast items where there are only tall tables but no chairs. People come in, order, get their food immediately, eat standing up, and leave asap for their day :) Some of the tastiest food, especially in South India can be found in such places.

okay, thank you, hopefully next time I can come to India and enjoy the food there.

Absolutely!!! Always Welcome :)
