Sunshine and smiles, everyone! In this blog post, I want to share my experience of the cafe we visited recently with my friends, which is Cafe Mimi.
This cozy cafe was situated along the road of Quarry Looc in Danao City, Cebu, Philippines. Its location is advantageous as it is easily visible to passersby and is also within walking distance from our school. The cafe boasts an aesthetic vibe that connects with the preferences of many Gen Z today. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, allowing customers to choose between enjoying the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee indoors, accompanied by soothing background music, or sitting outside to appreciate the sea view and the sunlight, which provides excellent lighting for photos. This cafe is small and has limited space, making it unable to fit a large number of customers.
If we talk about the costs of their beverages, I can say they offer very reasonable prices that students are likely to avail. One of the budget-friendly beverages for students is the buy 1 take 1 mimi macchiato, which is priced at just 50 pesos. Yes, you read that correctly! It's only 50 pesos (Philippine peso). The quality and flavor of their mimi macchiato are impressive! You can savor the bitterness of the brewed coffee, the coolness of the milk, and the sweetness of the caramel syrup. If you are a fan of matcha like me, you should try their matcha. They use tsujirihei honten, a tea farm from Uji with over 160 years of experience in Kyoto, known for producing high-quality matcha and green teas, whisked together with a bamboo whisk.
If you're not a coffee lover, they also offer a variety of non-coffee beverages. They serve ube cream, strawberry cream, and choco cream. If you want something to enjoy alongside your coffee or non-coffee drink, they provide snacks that will satisfy your hunger. You can choose from sandwiches, fries, croffles, and more.
My friends and I ordered mimi macchiatos, while some of our other friends prefer choco cream and strawberry cream since they aren't coffee lovers. According to their feedback, they felt that the prices for both the drinks and snacks were reasonable for what you receive. They also enjoyed taking photos and soaking in the café's cozy atmosphere. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee encouraged us to linger a bit longer.
I also appreciate the layout of their cafe, as every wall features a motivational poster. Some customers may come again because, aside from the quality and reasonably priced drinks and snacks, they feel encouraged by the posters placed throughout the cafe. There are many Sonny Angels displayed in the cashier area and on the walls above which adds the aesthetic vibe of the cafe. The staff of Mimi cafe are approachable and friendly. One of their servers is very accommodating and a problem solver.
And that's the end of my experience on Mimi Cafe, I hope I give you some knowledge about this cafe, especially to those Hivers that are near the cafe's location. Stay tuned for more cafe feedback! Ciao!
