Hello once again and have a nice day! Today, let me share with you once again the specialty of Argao town. For every municipality, we have the so-called special delicacies. Like in Bogo City, the special delicacy is Pintos, while in Carcar is chicharon. In Argao their speciality is Torta. Although there were a lot of people who knew how to bake Torta since it is easy to prepare, this delicacy in Argao is quite different for it has special ingredients that are unique and special from others. That's why many craved their torta, especially visitors from other places.
One morning we strolled again the town to search for the best seller of TORTA in town. We don't even know where it is located and don't even know what was the name of the bakery or the store. We just continued our walk until we passed this Pasalubong Center or Store of Baked Products. This store was named OJ Special Torta. When we approached the sales girl, sad to note that no more Torta left. They only have cookies and other baked products.
We stepped down from the store to continue our way. But before leaving we were surprised by the mini house with the label DAPUGAN with an old baking pan and torta molder. My co-teacher laughed at it. She doesn't understand what is DAPUGAN. I said it's the baking takes place like an oven or cooking takes place. It is an attraction to the guests or visitors in town. It's an indication that their specialty was already been their specialty since before when gas or electric ovens didn't exist.
We continued our way until we found a store that sold special Torta there was a car passed by and stopped for a while. The driver asked. "Where is Chitangs Torta?" "I said. That's what we're looking for. We don't know where it is." Some passengers laugh. They taught that we were Argaonon or as if we were not visitors in town. Then the driver drove the car away and we continued walking until we passed the Chitangs Torta. So that was the store they were looking for.
So we went inside we sat down first and relaxed. The store was cool and relaxing. After that, we asked their saleslady about special Torta. Unlucky no more Torta left again. We just bought several cookies for our pasalubong when we were their special Torta was sold already because that week a lot of guests were visiting this town.
It was not only me who bought some cookies but also my co-teachers. Aside from the Torta, Argao has also the best products to offer to all visitors in town. But for special Torta, we should not forget OJ and Chitangs For our pasalubong.
