How to Prepare:

  1. Boil the Fish- Start by boiling the fish until cooked. Once done, allow it to cool slightly, then shared or flake the meat into fine pieces.
  2. Prepare the Carrots – Slice it into very fine pieces. To make them cook faster and soften easily, blanch or lightly steam them.
  3. Beat the Egg – Crack an egg into a bowl and beat it until well mixed. This will serve as a binder to help the mixture hold together.
  4. Combine the Ingredients- Mix the shredded fish, finely cut carrots and beaten egg until well combined.
  5. Add the Flour – Slowly incorporate flour into the mixture. The amount varies depending on how firm you want your fish balls. Mix thoroughly until the texture is firm enough to shape.
  6. Shape Into Balls – Form the mixture into small around balls using your hands. Make them uniform in sized so they cook evenly.
  7. Heat the Oil – Warm some cooking opil in a pan over medium heat. The oil should be hot enough to fry but not too hot that it burns quickly.
  8. Fry Until golden Brown – Drop the fish gently into the pan. Fry until they turn golden brown, this means they’re perfectly cooked and crispy.
