Making glazes can sometimes be a difficult task, which is why it is recommended to add very little water or liquid to the sugar, to prevent it from being too soft or liquid.

It would have been ideal to place the donuts on a rack, so that the excess glaze could drain off.

I mentioned the glaze because it would be too soft.

The rack is a good idea, it didn't occur to me even though I've seen it a few times, thanks for the advice.
