I never thought that I will like this dish so much to a point that I would want to have this every week. It may not be fantastic but it’s good and healthy enough to encourage me to crave for it. I’ve been eating a lot of oily and food rich with seasonings that it scares me to keep going with this food preference. This Foo Chow fishball noodles gives me the feeling of relief. A break to my usual food preference hence I want to eat it every week.
I discovered this restaurant when I was passing by along Beach road. The name of the place is Seow Choon Hua Restaurant and their specialty is Foo Chow Fishball noodles.
They have a long list of items in their menu that looks delicious but O went for their top seller.
This Fishball noodles dish has a subtle flavor. Some people may call it bland but for me it taste pure. It’s not overly season and the soup acquired the flavor of the ingredients like egg, fishball, fishcake, and the vegetables.
One of the ingredients that I like is the tofu skin. The taste and texture fits my preference. It soaks the flavor of the soup and the texture is similar to a deep fried pork skin that’s soaked in soup.
It’s a dish that taste healthy and it’s actually good for me. It’s light and subtly flavorsome. The noodles are fun to slurp as well.
