Lechon is one of the most famous pig dishes here in the province of Cebu, Philippines. Carcar in the southern part of Cebu province serves the best lechon dishes.
Lechon is a roasted whole pig. The pig is seasoned with some seasonings inside, sewed in the belly and grilled in medium flame.
Everytime we visit Simala, we always stop by at Carcar and so is in this recent trip.
We decided to eat here in APO NI BEBIE'S LECHON which is just located in the town proper of Carcar.
APO NI BEBIE'S LECHON in Carcar is very easy to located because there is just one certain area in Carcar where the lechons are sold and you can easily identify it because they have a tarpaulin displayed outside.
Here are the different whole LECHONs displayed right in front of APO NI BEBIE'S LECHONAN in Carcar, Southern Cebu, Philippines.
Here in the Philippines, a celebration is never complete without a whole lechon. It is really the star of any occassion especially when there are celebrations like fiestas, birthdays, weddings and all the other special occasions.
APO NI BEBIE'S LECHON offers a lot of food options, not just lechon itself but a lot of Filipino dishes and Filipino favorites. There are also enough chairs for everyone.
We ordered 1/2 kilo of lechon, blood broth and we asked for some fish soup for free. The lechon is ₱900.00 per kilogram.
After eating, I drank some pineapple juice to help me digest the food faster.
Just across APO NI BEBIE'S LECHON, there are the stores selling Carcar's specialty which is the chicharon.
The stalls are selling so many pasalubongs like dried manggoes, chicharon, ampao, piaya, and so much more.
Do you know what a "pasalubong" is? Here in the Philippines, we are used to giving it to families and friends who were not able to join us in the trip. For example, this trip to Carcar that we went into, some of our family members are left at home, so we bring them chicharon as "pasalubong" or a gift for them.
We are really used to bringing "pasalubong" and these are the delicacies of the places we are traveling into.
After our lunch, we then continued with our travel heading towards Simala, just a few more miles until we reach our destination.
What a yummy lunch we had! Ciao!❤️
