A Day in the Kitchen: Learning my Mother’s Lumpia Recipe

Hi there everyone, It's me Rhea again, and today I will be sharing another blog of mine about how to make a lumpia together with my mother.

It was just a normal day that time of October and my mother badly wanted to make lumpia but unfortunately she’s too busy cooking pork adobo, pancit (noodle dish), and also barbecue but since she’s busy, I initiated and said that I will be the one making the lumpia and her job is to tell me the procedures in making it. And I am sure some of my fellow bloggers want to try new recipes so I’ll add the ingredients below and also the procedures.

So, these are the ingredients for the lumpia recipe.

3 carrots
1 big onion
1 garlic
2 red bell peppers
Msg
3 eggs
Sugar
1 kilo of ground pork

And so to start with, since the pork is already chopped into small pieces I started slicing the carrots, onion, bell pepper, and garlic into small pieces (minced) but if you have a machine that would cut them and that should be better since it will cost a lot more time using knife to cut them lol.

And since I am done cutting the carrots, onions, and garlic and bell peppers, I then now added the minced ingredients into the ground pork and then mixed them. After mixing them I then added some msg, 3 eggs, and the sugar. By the way it depends on you how you like them to be sweet or whatever you like but I like my lumpia to have a little bit of sweet taste hehe and after that I continued mixing them up.

And finally this is what it looks like after mixing them and don’t worry I asked my mother if I am doing this right though lol.

And now it’s the time for wrapping. First I grabbed a big plate so that I can wrap them perfectly, I also grabbed a small bowl of water, the purpose of the water is to seal the wrapper and lastly the food container for the finish product.

And then I started wrapping them, it took me about an hour and a half of wrapping them.

And this is the progress after 25 minutes, my neck and my shoulders already hurt this time but I know I can do it lol. After several minutes I am now finally done. After wrapping them I also helped my mother cooking the other dishes hehe.
By the way these are the lumpia that I had made, the other container is in the fridge so that we can cook it for the other day hehe.

And that’s all for today’s blog everyone, I really hope you like the recipe that I have made, and by the way thank you so much for supporting my blog guys I really appreciate it hehe, have a great day everyone thank you very much guys.
