RE: How I prepared my sweet breadfruit (ukwa) for dinner

in Foodies Bee Hivelast month

This is one of the meals I've never tasted. I also heard it takes time to cook. Is it true?
Maybe I will try it sometime in the future. I think it should go well with scent leaves because utazi has a bitter taste.

Sort:

It doesn't take time to cook, but some people that sell it do wash and preserve it with akawu, making it to be strong and delaying while cooking.

Breadfruit is already sweet, I prefer utazi for it's bitter/sweet taste. I don't like the taste of scent leaf. But Anambra people use bitterleaf to cook their own.

Okay. I wouldn't explore in the future. Does it taste like beans? 🫘

Sweeter than beans

Woahhh 😮😲

Yea 😊
