Ingredients:
â˘â â 250g lean mince
â˘â â an egg
â˘â 1 slice of brown bread, finely chopped
â˘â â 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
â˘â â 1 medium tomato, diced
â˘â â 1/2 medium yellow pepper, diced
â˘â â Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1.â â Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
2.â â In a large bowl, combine the lean mince, chopped onions, chopped brown bread, the egg , diced tomato and Italian herbs. Mix well with your hands or a spoon until just combined. Don't overmix!
3.â â Divide the mixture into 4-6 portions, depending on your desired patty size. Shape each portion into a ball and then flatten slightly into a patty.
4.â â Season the patties with salt and pepper.
5.â â Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your liking.
6.â â Meanwhile, prepare the soft burger rolls with butter
7.â â Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on each bun, topping it with a slice of cheese, a slice of tomato, raw onion and some baby spinach and a sprinkle of extra Italian herbs if desired.
