Puto Cheese A Healthy Snack For The Kids

Hello Dear Food Lovers! I'm missing this community it's almost 3 days that I haven't posted in here.
I'm glad to share this recipe to you my first time ever steamed puto cheese. I've loved to share this afternoon snacks to you this is good for the kids because it's full of nutrients and loaded with carbohydrates.
Kids are so happy after they've learned that I will cook and afternoon snacks for them.

It's a rainy afternoon here in our town, kids were looking for something to eat. They're so much in hunger most especially that they were playing indoor games. They cannot go outside because of the weather.

That's why I come up with an idea to make the available ingredients into a Puto. I've also searched inside the refrigerator, and it's perfect I have cheese and a butter left on it.

Here's how to do it.
First is gather all the materials completely. Like measuring cup, measuring spoon ,the puto molder,and steamer.
And for the dry ingredients you need to sift first the All purpose flour so that air or lumps/particles will be removed. Appropriate tool to use is the strainer.

Next is mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl like the baking powder, sugar, and the sifted all purpose flour.

Next is prepare also the wet ingredients like water, evaporated milk (or you can use powdered milk just dilute it in a 1/2 cup of water)an egg, a vanilla, and a butter.
For the accurate measurement of each ingredients you can follow these: 2cups of all purpose flour,1tsp.of salt 2tbsp.of baking powder, 1cup of white sugar and for the liquid ingredients you will need: 1/2 cup of milk, 3/4 cup of water, 2 pcs of egg,1tsp.of vanilla, and 2tbsp.of butter.If you want an assorted colors of puto you can add a little color in it. I only want to serve the kids just a plain puto with no food color in it.
Mix all the dry ingredients and add alternately the wet ingredients. Slowly mix it using the ladle. Continue mixing until you reach the desired texture of the flour you want.

Strained the mixture of so that you will achieve the consistency that you want.Straining the mixture will also help in removing the particles or lumps.

After that filled the Puto molder with the mixture, just fill it not so full, you can add toppings on it, the cheese(sliced into thin)

Steamed the Puto cheese for 10-15 minutes to achieve the desired taste. You can serve it hot. And paired and enjoy eating this with some of your favorite dinks or juices.

My daughter is enjoying so much my first time homemade puto cheese. She felt full and satisfied after eating her snacks.

Some of the puto have no cheese on it because it's already eaten by the kids.Theyve really love eat the toppings on it.

An accurate measurement of the baking powder is the reason of this perfect alsa...hehe yeah I love also putong bigas.

Ohhhh, kaya dapat talaga gagamit ng right spoon ano. We don't have those though haha.
