Wazzup everyone! It's @lorene08 here again with another easy, budget-friendly, and extremely delicious snack that you can prepare at home!
Last April 15, 2025 my friend and I went to Poblacion since we were were scheduled to get our school cards. It was still early when we arrived, so I told her to visit my place after lunch since I was going to prepare a snack, and she happily agreed.
This snack requires very few ingredients, and they're all cheap! The ingredients needed are bread, cheese, Milo, egg, and oil or butter.
First, flatten the slice bread. I didn't have a kitchen tool to do that, so I just used a big cup instead (HAHAHA).
When the bread is flat, we'll prepare the Milo filling. I used 2 sachets of Milo and only added a bit of water to make it thick. I've watched videos where they used condensed milk instead of water, but I was worried it would be too sweet, so I used water. (You can still use CONDENSED MILK if you want, that's completely up to you hehe.) When the Milo mixture thickens, spread it on the bread.
After adding the Milo, place a slice of cheese on top, then roll the bread. To make sure it sticks and doesn’t fall apart, dip the rolled bread in a beaten egg, and it's ready to cook!
Now, heat it on a pan. If you have butter, you can use it. But since all I have at home (and in the neighbor's store) is cooking oil, I used that instead. It heats very quickly, around 1 minute, depending on how hot the heat is. I recommend heating it in low heat.
When it's cooked, you can consume it as is or add a sprinkle of Milo powder on top for added taste and a pleasant appearance.
And that's done! Your Milo Bread Roll with Cheese is ready to be served! It's extremely tasty! What makes it even more amazing is the cheese, it adds a perfect taste that goes so perfectly with the Milo.
I only spent about 180 pesos for the whole thing, as I purchased 2 packs of sliced bread and the cheese was about 65 pesos. Not bad at all!
That's it for today, everyone! See you in my next cooking blog post!👩🍳
