Oh, I saw these in the bakery, and my friend said it was torrijas, but I didn't know what it was. We sometimes make a simple version at home, just old bread in eggs, but this version is much more tasty!!! Yummy!!! So, I need to try torrijas one day! 🤤 Thank you

Yes, beat an egg (or two, depending on how many bread slices you want), add a bit of salt, put the slice into the egg and then into hot oil until it gets the golden colour, and that's it. I used to make it when I had leftover bread from one or two days, but it is not good with fresh bread. You can put garlic on it, too. It is very similar to torrijas but without milk, in a salty version.
It is called bundás kenyér, I hope you understand Hungarian hahahahha video 😂
Today I made my own version (with pepper, ginger and ground garlic) and I was surprised at how juicy it turned out.
