In a previous post in this community, I shared with you how they serve broaster chicken in my country, that was in the Pollo Rico restaurant located in my city. This time, in the same restaurant, we ordered another dish which is nothing more than grilled chicken. This dish is very famous here because it is usually good in most restaurants and at a price that, although it is not the cheapest, it is not very expensive either. Grilled chicken is not exactly a fast food dish, but it is one of those that can be found on the street late at night.

We were fortunate to live for some years in a country that is famous for its gastronomy and grilled chickens are certainly part of that set. Peru is a country where chicken is an integral part of the daily diet, so it is normal and frequent to see it in the different menus. We tried grilled chicken in many restaurants and in most occasions the impressions were very positive, but as it usually happens, cheap is expensive, so the less we paid, the lower the quality was.

So, with several years of experience eating grilled chicken in a gastronomically rich country, we had interesting expectations with what we could find here, and well, we do not know if it was a coincidence, but at a certain point we came to think that this was the best chicken we had ever eaten in our lives. This may sound exaggerated, maybe it was just a momentary feeling, but when we came to reason, we concluded that the quality of the restaurant has a lot to do with the taste of the dish, we are not discovering anything with this just said, but that will always be an accurate comment when making comparisons between dishes.

As you can see in the previous photos, the usual toppings are usually parboiled yucca, which is topped with chimichurri, a sauce made with oregano, garlic, parsley, oil, vinegar, chili bell pepper and salt. There are also hallaquitas, which are made with pre-cooked corn flour and different seasonings.

And well, the last photo shows the grilled chicken in all its splendor, it looks golden, well roasted and juicy. The price in this restaurant is about 13 $ (without drinks), which we consider a good price taking into account that it can be shared between 4 people. I invite you to watch the video for more details, I hope to see you there. It was a pleasure to share, greetings!

The quality of a restaurant tells a lot about what the food will taste like but that doesn’t happen in every case. There are so many times when you go to a big restaurant and you wouldn’t like their dish
Their dish here looks yummy though
It must be so tasty

It is true, sometimes a good restaurant does not guarantee a good dish, it has also happened to me. And yes, this grilled chicken was spectacular. Cheers!

How are you dear friend @musicandreview good morning
I loved how they serve grilled chicken in your country, everything looks exquisite. finger to admit that has whetted my appetite
In my city Corrientes-Argentina, the chicken is served well cooked and juicy, and at the time of cooking it is sprinkled with a preparation called chimichurri, this gives an exquisite flavor to the meat, as a garnish it can be accompanied with pieces of cassava, and sweet potatoes, it can also come with a Russian salad, or a mixed salad of lettuce, tomato and onion. And the cost is very similar to your country between $13 and $15.

I am perfectly familiar with chimichurri and I think it is the perfect dressing for this type of food, it is a miracle of humanity. I think the tomato, onion and lettuce salad is perfect for the grilled chicken, maybe I will order it as an extra next time.

And look, the price is similar in Argentina, interesting.

Have a nice day. Regards!

hello @musicandreview
I love grilled chicken, it is one of my favorite foods, especially accompanied by cassava
At my house my grandfather cooks it well cooked and juicy, and we accompany it with a potato salad and hard-boiled egg.

That salad you mention is spectacular, it is one of the ones I like the most, maybe a little heavy for a grilled chicken, but it is not negligible at all.

Thanks for your visit!

Ese pollo se ve demasiado delicioso y tentador y los acompañantes son un 10 de 10! El mejor pollo a la brasa del mundo!🇻🇪🌎 No hay otro igual!

Una vez probé uno donde vivo y no me gustó para nada. No estaba bien aliñado.

Ahora tengo antojos de ESE pollo a la brasa! Jeje!😊
