Autumnal Risoni with diced ham and carrots. (ENG/ESP)

Hello blog friends, a few weeks ago I saw a post by @seckorama about a risoni and salmon salad. Ever since, I've been craving risoni.

However, I made it like pasta, and now I'm sharing my recipe. For this recipe, you'll need:

  • 100 grams of risoni
  • 5 carrots
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 100 grams of diced ham
  • 200 ml of ready-made vegetable broth
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 3 tablespoons of salt

First, prepare the carrots: peel them, place them on a cutting board, and cut them into thin rounds. Then, peel the garlic and chop the cloves.

Desde entonces, me ha entrado un antojo de risoni. Sin embargo, lo preparé como si fuera pasta, y ahora les comparto mi receta.

Para esta receta, necesitarán:

  • 100 gramos de risoni
  • 5 zanahorias
  • 4 dientes de ajo
  • 100 gramos de jamón en dados
  • 200 ml de caldo de verduras preparado
  • 3 cucharadas de aceite
  • 3 cucharadas de sal

Primero, preparen las zanahorias: pélelas, colóquenlas en una tabla de cortar y córtelas en rodajas finas. Luego, pelen los ajos y piquen los dientes.

Cook, stirring frequently, until the broth evaporates. When the broth has almost completely evaporated, add the diced ham and cook for ten minutes; the ham cubes should be well-done. Meanwhile, prepare a pot of water and salt. When the water boils, add the risoni and cook for about five minutes. Drain them and add the contents of the pan to the risoni, stirring well. This delicate dish has a delicious and rich autumnal flavor, and can be seasoned with a little pepper or grated cheese if desired.
