I have learned much looking at this presentation on making macaroni and cheese from scratch, using a trial-and-error approach.
The ingredients include quick-cooking pasta, cheddar cheese, milk cream, and powdered milk. The sauce was standard liquid in my country. Although liquid, you used a good technique to thicken the solution with the addition of wheat flour.
