I had the privilege of making my own cookies yesterday for the first time. I love cookies, but I have somehow been reluctant to make my own myself, so yesterday I had some time at hand, and I decided to give it a try.
I must say I am proud of myself because to an extent it came out well and tastes delicious, just that it's a bit too sugary for me. So if you are like me and don't like too much sugar, you might want to cut down on the sugar quantity 😉.
Let's get down to business 😀
Ingredients
- 315g of all-purpose flour
- 200g of icing sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 150g of butter
- 2 sachet of milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup of chocolate chips

Preparations
I placed my butter in a bowl, then I mixed it until it became creamy.
I added my icing sugar into the bowl with the butter and creamed until it became light and fluffy.
I added my vanilla extract.
Gradually I mixed in my flour mixture.

Then I added my powdered milk.
I added a little water to mix it to make a dough.
I poured in my chocolate chips and mixed them together.
Then I placed my dough in a plastic bag and placed it in the fridge for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, I brought it out and placed it on parchment paper and rolled it.

I used my cookie cutter to cut into desired shapes and sizes.

I placed it into my oven and baked it for about 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.

Bring out of the oven and allow it to cool down
