Patsitivity's Palate: Affordable Korean Dining Spot in Cebu

in Foodies Bee Hive2 days ago

I am always on the lookout for great food. If you're an avid follower, I don't need to spell this to you. But aside from spending a fortune in restaurants, my boyfriend and I loves looking for hidden spots that offer value for money.

In a separate blog, I've written about our Korean food escapade at Mango Avenue. For those living in Mandaue, Funhan Mart might be too far away to get affordable and instant Korean food. Worry no more as this Korean Supermarket with options to cook on the spot will fulfill your cravings. Come and discover it with me!

This massive Korean Supermart is located at Hernan Cortes Street in Mandaue City. It's hidden beneath restaurants, shops and cafés; better rely on Google Map when heading here. At the far corner you'll see a huge sign "City Mart" and that's when you'll know you're in the right place. Walk pass through the glass door and a variety of Korean products will welcome you. From food, drinks, to beauty and cleaning products, they have it all.

There are discounted items on display; we grabbed a few of these, too!

Now the fun and exciting part: eating! You need to cook first before you can eat tho. It took us roughly 10 minutes to reheat and cook everything. We bought ramen, super spicy noodles (similar with our very own pancit canton), toppoki, egg roll, kimchi and ready-to-drink juices that we poured over ice which we bought inside the mini mart.

They have these machines that pour extremely hot water over your ramyeon container. You'll have to put the container above the small induction stove, the boiling water will pour inside the container and the induction stove will do the rest. 5 minutes later you'll have a freshly cooked ramyeon. If it's your first time here, don't fret! The have 1-2 staff that help customers experience the best of their instant Korean food. We used their microwave to reheat the toppoki, egg roll, etc.

They have chairs and table where you can comfortable sit while you devour Korean goodness in every bite!

It was quite an experience. Will recommend trying this Korean Mini Mart once or twice but please don't make this a regular thing as these are mostly processed food; not the healthiest food afterall.

The noodles are so tempting, they make you drool🤤

Wow this is great, no need to get home first before eating, you just buy from the supermarket and make your food in just a few minutes, that's great, the noodles look delicious 😋, and your facial expression proves that you really had fun.
