With food festivals popping up everywhere lately, it seems like they're happening almost every other weekend. Let me be clear – I'm not complaining. In fact, I quite enjoy these culinary events. There's always something inspiring to discover. And I don't mean just the usual burgers and hot dogs, but a wide spectrum of cuisine, ranging from regional specialties to exotic dishes.
The festival held in Michalov Park in our city was a prime example, featuring an incredible variety of food – from traditional Haná region pastries to Asian cuisine, and even grilled ostrich.

The sign "GRILOVANÝ PŠTROS" – "GRILLED OSTRICH" wasn't just some empty marketing gimmick – they were actually selling grilled ostrich meat. It's a product that's not very common here, but I'm guessing there are regions where ostrich shows up on the dinner plate three times a week 😁.
While we're on the topic, I can't help but mention the #samebutdifferent challenge, which is exactly about this: the things that are totally normal in one region can be complete exotica in another part of the world.
To wrap things up, I wanted to ask if you enjoy these kinds of food events – though I realize that's probably a pointless question. I mean, who wouldn't love them?
