Hello, friends of Foodies Bee hive! An activity that entertains me and pleases my palate is touring my city, Maracay in the state of Aragua, Venezuela, in order to taste new culinary options. This time I want to tell you a little about my visit to TDK Pastries, most famous for its varied and delicious sweets and desserts, however, in the place I went this time located on Los Cedros Avenue, which is relatively new, they particularly have the novelty of offering some salty foods.
In this case I decided to try the Paninis, since I saw the menu they posted on their social networks and it immediately caught my attention. The variety of these, made it a bit difficult for me to choose, as they all looked very provocative.
Traditionally, a panini is a type of Italian sandwich made mainly, but not only, with ciabatta bread, and they usually feature various fillings with cold cuts and cheeses. I liked the fact that they make their own breads, as well as offering a good variety of pizzas.
Among the different options, my choice was the Pepperoni panini for 4 USD, which has neapolitan sauce, mozzarella cheese and plenty of pepperoni, with that spicy touch that distinguishes this type of sausage. My companion ordered a Tapara panini for 5 USD which also looked very delicious, with neapolitan sauce, mozzarella cheese, tapara mortadella, pesto and almonds. The accompanying drink in this case was an orange soda.
The atmosphere of the place is pleasant and the hosts have a friendly treatment that makes diners feel at home, so in that sense they have a 10 out of 10 in customer service. I can say that visiting this TDK pastry shop was a great experience that I would repeat without thinking twice since I love Italian food. Thanks for joining me here, see you next time.
